NFPA 99 has just gone a MAJOR revision that will affect all Clinical Engineering groups over time. The biggest change is that it is now an NFPA "Code" on a par with the National Electrical Code. The NFPA is beginning a big campaign to get this code adopted into law. Mr. Lipschultz is a member of the AAMI Technology Management Council and will also address the proposed CMS change to require manufacturer's PM procedures. NFPA-99 also has text addressing this subject
